MJ's little flock

The chicks look fine MJ, active, curious, eating and drinking.
How are you finding the coop now you've used it a bit?
It's fit for my purposes (broody hen, laying eggs, chicks) but I wouldn't recommend it for roosting, unless we're talking about a small number of small chickens. It's too small. Nor is it safe from digging predators, which is why I have it within the big enclosed run. I like its adaptability and versatility. Like most of the cheap flat packs, it seems flimsy and flimsy is so easy to adapt, eg, when I wanted to attach the new wide ramp to the front of the poop tray, I pulled the handles off the tray with my bare hands. Sturdy flat packs are way more expensive, like the big coop, which is as strong today as the day I assembled it.

Is it time for a tour? Actually, I think it's long overdue.

Sorry for changing the orientation half way through - I didn't even notice what'd I'd done until I was re-watching the video and I don't have time to re-do it, so I beg forgiveness.

Looking good MJ! Lots more greenery than when you last showed us around.

Yes, the jacaranda is at its best right now and of course the three lavenders are doing well. A month ago the jacaranda was spindly but that's nice in winter because it lets the light through.
