She probably is at the age where your noticing a niacn deficiency it starts with lameness can even cause neurological problems so better see about getting some niaicn or brewers yeast and start all 3 of them on it. Or B complex vitamin all can be mixed into their drinking water. 150mgs of niacin to 1 gal of water or 1 tab of brewers yeast or nutritional yeast mixed into1 cup of their feed or water or 1 B complex vitamin mixed into their water or feed. what do you feed them is it a complete feed for ducklings or chickens? and do they get to be on grass at all? They will stay with me forever.
Lola can't walk good, what she have? I think she need calcium but I don't want to give anything before asking.
I'll take it to the vet in this week.
Thanks
yes niacin is B3, are you feeding them rice un cooked? never heard of giving that to water fowl I can't imagine it has much nutritional value. but grass is great and very dark leafy lettuce but spinach is suppose to bind calcium so I always heard not to feed spinach and if you have a gosling having leg problems then dif don't feed spinach. They don't want to eat a complete food for chicks, yesterday they ate some food for layers. They only want rice, lettuce, some spinach and grass. We go for a walk every day, and they can eat all what they want. Niacin is the same than vitamin b?
Thanks
