Good morning! Has anyone moved long distance with their flock? We are moving to a different state and it will take approximately 18 hours. I was going to put my girls in a large dog crate and stop every few hours to give them food and water but my husband thinks it will stress them to much. Any thoughts?

any type of long distance transportation can be stressful but poultry usually handle it very well overall. it sounds like you have a good plan. you may also consider putting greens or cucumber in the cage for them in between food and water stops if space allows. they should settle into their new surroundings within a couple of weeks
