My anole lizard is terning BROWN !!

is it bad! ...he is in a brown habitat right now. he has always been green i just bought him a month ago?

I have heard that brown is the color of distress, that a happy anole is bright green. When anoles get into territorial battles, the loser turns brownish as it leaves, signalling, "fight over." Anoles are green when they are warm, too. When we see anoles during the winter, they are usually brown, though if someone catches one and holds it for long, the warmth of their hands will make it turn greenish.
 
Maybe, based on what Bunny has posted, you need a heat rock for your lizard. Or a heat lamp, low wattage. Call the store you got him from and ask about it. But ours in NC turned brown when they were on a brown background. So I don't know...

Here in Fl ours go from green to brown depending on what they are on...aswell as their mood. I would call the pet store you got him from and ask what they suggest....make sure you have the right set up. We have them in abundance down here.... Lol
