My chick has an eye problem

This chick of mine got pecked really badly by its mother on the scalp when it was younger. I'm talking about nearly losing its scalp. I managed to save it, and it's been doing really well. Eating, drinking, and overall just behaving like a chick. I've noticed that its eye became foggy. I assumed it had begun going blind in the eye due to trauma because that's simply the answer I've gotten from doing research.

A white spot developed on the eye some time later that resembled a cataract, the eye also seemed to water a lot so I gave the chick some vitamins, added an antibiotical ointment to the eye and now the eye seams like it's clearing up but — it's as if the eye is behind a bubble? Like there's a water filled 'something' in front of the eye. I can see its second pair of eyelids behind said 'something'.

I'm sure my vet will find me stupid for bringing a chick into the clinic or just simply euthanize it. At least, that's what people have been telling me. But except for the chick's eye and overall just looking like a vulture chick, I think it's doing fine. I'm okay with euthanasia, if that's really what's needed, but I'd really like to get a second opinion on this and what could this be?

Small note:
I am certain it's not infectious coryza.

I can't remember but I think @sourland might know something about this.
If it's acting fine and the treatment is working I'd wait to see if he/she recovers first. I know someone who has a fully blind chicken and once she learned where the food and water was she was able to function just fine. scratching around for nothing and pecking the air, but still being a chicken

Sorry to hear about your chick, looks like you’ve been doing great with it, though. Is this chick’s eye swollen in comparison to the other eye? What kind of ointment have you been applying to the eye? How long ago did the wound happen?

Aside from @sourland, I’m going to call on other educators for advice, too. @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive

Yes it's a little swollen! It goes up and down throughout the day, but it's been less swollen lately. I've been using Chloramex to treat the eye, applying it in the morning and at nighttime after putting a warm piece of cotton dipped in a saline solution against the eye to help reduce swelling.

So the wound happened by December 9th, it's since scabbed over, but it's still a little fresh, I applied a wound spray the day the chick got pecked, hence the blue, and have been treating the wound with erm nipple cream? Like what you use for cows! The eye issue, appeared a few days after the 25th.

The wound seems to be healing okay, I wonder if her eye got pecked a bit, too? Do you think the eye issues are related to the attack on her head? I’m sure you’ve done more than enough inspecting her eye at this point, but it is possible she got something stuck in her eye? I know you said you’re soaking it a bit every day, but have you tried rinsing it well with saline, too?

I think both is a possibility honestly. I've been rinsing the eye with saline before applying the antibiotic ointment. Today, it looks a little better. Still very watery though.
