My chicken laid this and I need help with understanding what it is, and what does it mean for my hen

You'll see it all after a few years and some of what you will see will freak you out a little but it's usually all normal chicken stuff.
I appreciate your honesty and input. This is a first time I’ve seen it since I’ve had chickens and I always try to help them the most I can if something arises

It will be interesting to see if she responds to the calcium citrate with D. If it isn’t a calcium deficiency or problem absorbing it, it could be an oviduct issue with her shell gland. I hope it helps. She could have some weakness while having the soft eggs. Let us know what happens.
She’s secluding herself when she is out in the yard with all the other hens, which I’ve found is a pre cursor to them passing, but I’m trying to stay positive and give her this treatment.

I quarantined her and this is what her poop and stuff looks like, if that’s helpful at all

Today she still laid a shell less egg but her comb is bright red, and she’s moving around, alert, talking. Other than her laying these eggs you wouldn’t suspect anything is wrong with her, she is still getting her daily dose of vitamin D with calcium

Good. It was probably calcium deficiency which is normal at that age. If she had a severe reproductive system issue she wouldn't have started behaving normally from the calcium alone. Keep giving it to her. If there's nothing else going on she should start laying normal eggs within days.

Hey guys, I’ve got an update. So my hen is back to her normal self, I’ve been giving her the supplement for over a month but she isn’t laying eggs anymore? Does this mean she’s all done laying or what else should I do?

Hey that's good news 👍 A lot of my hens aren't laying right now. I'd say about half of my girls or maybe more have taken a vacation from laying. They'll pick back up but for now- they're on Christmas break 🎄
