My chickens got in to some garbage bags and I think they ate some part of the trash bag. They did this about 5 days ago and they all seem healthy and are still laying eggs, but is it ok to eat their eggs? Should we wait to eat their eggs? If so, how long? Please answer soon.
Thank you,

If your chickens ate small pieces of plastic, they usually get pooped out within 24 hours. I know this because I've had it happen.

Large pieces of plastic could cause a blockage in the digestive tract, and that chicken would become obviously sick, and would likely be dead by now.

Plastic is not digestible, instead passing through the chicken, so eggs are very likely not to be affected.

I agree. I wouldn't eat eggs for 24 hours and then it will be fine.
