If nothing else the vegetables rotting in the run will attract bugs, which the chickens WILL eat lol. My husband doesn’t understand why I don’t just throw every random scrap out there because he is under the impression that if they eat more garbage they will eat less food and thereby save money. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him in this case.
