This has been happening for a few days. My chicken sally has been limping. Her left leg is kind of not working. She is pretty chill as she is kind of old and she doesn’t do much but everytime she tries to walk she starts limping and flapping her wings. Her left leg is still responsive to some touch and she will curl her toes a little bit but she can’t really move it. The other leg that is working is shaking or vibrating. There’s nothing stuck in her feet or anything. She’s been eating and drinking fine just not normally walking. Is there any way I can treat this?

Sorry to hear about her leg. Have you slowly felt up and down her leg for anything that feels swollen or out of place? Any hidden bruises or cuts under her feathers? Her foot pad does look a tiny bit pink. Does she have to jump down from a roost in the mornings?

Hey thanks for the reply! She lives in my goats pen so she has to jump from this little thing I circled in red. She doesn’t have any swollen areas in her leg or cuts or bruises I checked everywhere. I was looking at some other posts and saw someone with the similar situation and they put a splint on the leg. I did that with Sally and I put her in a cage to monitor her better

Be really careful with splints, if done too tight, which is easy to do, they can cause more damage than good. Check often that her circulation isn’t getting cut off and give her breaks. She may just need to keep some weight off her leg or have her movement restricted for a bit in a cage, even without a splint.

I took the splint off today as I noticed it was uncomfortable for her and noticed a bit of bruising. I put her in her cage gave her more water and fed her some oat meal as she isn’t eating much. I checked her foot pad and it’s gotten redder I’m going to check what she has on her foot pad

Good idea. Sometimes they’re so good at hiding things. A foot soak in warm water with epsom salt will soften the pad of her foot if needed.
Oh I have not seen that, I will check right now it looks odd.
@Wyorp Rock has such a good eye 😌

I have checked everything and while checking I found that her beak and nails are turning dark and I also found this black spot that isn’t dirt
