Hello👋🏻
As title says, my quail chicks keep dropping dead. They hatched 4-5 days ago, and every day at least two died since then. That never happened before, I feel so helpless :(
They are warm and have food and water oc.
They get a mix of small bird seed, poppy seeds, oregano and oatmeal. I thought maybe it's the food , but it's the same they always get . I don't know what to do anymore. They seem absolutely fine one day , and the next day they are gone.

Quail need high protein feed... bird seed is ok as an occasional treat for adults, but developing chicks need high protein chick starter. I would try changing the feed and seeing if that helps any. What's the temperature in their brooder?

Hm that's weird , they always thrived on that mix before, but I'll change it. They have a heating plate thats 48°C warm.

Does their brooder have a warm end and a cool end? 48 is way too hot for them, and that could easily be killing them if they don't have a cool end to retreat to. You want the temp to be closer to 36 at the warm end.

Their diet won't kill them right away, but it certainly isn't going to help them thrive or grow properly. They need a high protein game bird or turkey starter. What you're feeding them is basically all junk food.
