Hello everyone! So I was on a four day vacation and I came home to find that one of my call ducks had hurt her eye. I assume one of the Drakes did this and she is now being kept completely separate from the boys. It does not look pretty, but she’s acting as her usual quacking, eating, pooping, running, etc. Does anyone know if she’ll ever be able to see out of this eye again? How can I help her have high chances to see out of this eye again or just to help it get better? I do have access to a vet if I need it.

Thank you!

Ok. Should I put it in the small part of her eye that is open as well?
Not sure if I understand this question, can you clarify what you mean?

I'd get some saline and use it to clean/flush all the debris out of the eye. Clean it up well.

Get some ointment as suggested previously. Terramycin is very good if you can get it. Usually it's found at TSC, you may have to ask for it, it's a small tube and they usually have it locked up in the meds cabinet.

Take a dot of the Terramycin eye ointment and put it directly into the eye. Do this a couple of times day, rinse/flush to remove pus and crusties, then apply your ointment.
