My Indio Gigante Thread

Some quick photos for the day! Just got home from work, checked on the chicks, gave em fresh water and spent a few minutes giving them some attention. They’re getting absolutely massive. I’ll be moving them again here soon to give them more space. Mr. Black and White is gorgeous, and he’s such a sweetie too! I can’t wait to see him when he’s older. It’s hard to believe they’re only 2.5 months old, omg.

… they really don’t like my phone though 😆

Little miss ermine decided to photobomb in the back 😂
I’m constantly amazed how prehistoric these guys look. I can’t get enough of them!

I’ll be moving them into a more permanent pen once the hurricane passes. They need more space and I can’t wait to give it to them. In the meantime, I’ll be setting up tarps to prevent them from getting wet. They’re in a high, secure and elevated pen, so they should be fine from underneath if we get heavy rain. I just don’t want them getting blown in on; that’s my major concern.

Update! The storm has passed and me and my flock are fine! Nothing crazy seems to have happened which is such a relief, and the tarps held up wonderfully despite the high winds! They’ve been taken down now that the sun is shining again and it’s starting to warm up. I think everyone is glad it’s over (I know I am!)

Glad everything is ok for you and your flock!
