My Indio Gigante Thread

Photos as promised! Took these with my Canon (I'm very much an amateur and still learning the camera). I have such photogenic birds, my goodness. Currently their run is 10x10, but it will be expanded as they grow and should be noted as being temporary. The last two photos are definitely my favorites! These guys are nearing 4 months old already, which is absolutely baffling!

I have such chicken envy! They are so gorgeous.

Just a quick update because it’s been some time. Turns out what I thought was a rooster is a hen, so I ended up with 3 hens and 1 rooster which is honestly so nice and surprising. My luck isn’t usually that good haha. All four are getting big and growing strong. Spending time with them daily has honestly been the best part of coming home from work. They’re such sweeties and they enjoy the attention as much as I love handling them. The previously thought rooster (tall brown one) is more dominant than the other two hens I’ve noticed, but thankfully she hasn’t started being a bully and I hope it stays that way. She’s very close to being the same height as the rooster, which I’m glad for as I’d like to try my hand at breeding even taller babies in the future.

This has been such a fun experience and I adore working with these guys. I’ve been very busy but I’ll try to get more pictures out soon!

The laced ones which also have a Millie Fleur kind of pattern are beautiful!
