Hi, I'm Melissa from Oklahoma. I have 4 parakeets, 2 males and 2 females.
I've had 1 set (1 male and female, both blue) for over 5 years. I had got another set about 5 years ago ( a white and yellow). I've noticed blood on both of my males before and on the sticks and thought it was because they accidently bit themselves. It wasn't until the other day that I noticed that both of my males were fighting (biting, kicking, and screaming) and eventually fall to the ground from the top of the cage. I do know that both of the males like one of the females (a blue one). They like to kiss, feed, and even try to mount her, which I don't think she has allowed yet.
My other female (white) only likes the one that came with her (yellow) and hates my other set of blues. So my blue and yellow males fight for the blue female. I have seperated them by keeping my yellow and white one in a different cage, but the yellow male won't quit yelling and screaming when I do this and he has even escaped from the cage that has his original mate in it and somehow got into the blues cage because of the blue female! It's insane! Now they're all in the cage I had them in and it's a large cage too!
What should I do???

Yes you need to separate them into different cages. You may even need 4 separate cages. I have had to do that in the past with Cockatiels and Lovebirds that refuse to live together. Takes up the entire kitchen. LOL And the screaming....I deal with screaming birds everyday. Keep the ear plugs handy. LOL Hope to see you in the caged bird section!
