My quail has curled feet from shrink wrap

So I did a good bit of googling about this. It says wait 24 hours before intervention. This one was about to give up in the egg and I got him out after work. His neck was crooked and he got it straightened out. He is doing his best to walk. Eating and drinking. In the brooder with the others. I had tried to put bandaid pieces on the foot but he's too full of energy and fought me hard. Then I googled and said wait 24 hours. Is this the best thing?!

Are his feet curled because they just spent too much time wrapped up in the egg? I thought he was a goner when I pulled him out of the egg. He was laying on his side.. he sure has done a 180. Full of life now and just needs the feet straight. Poor thing ... Man he fought me so hard about those feet.

Update: just before I settled them down for the night it seems he has figured out his left foot somewhat. I saw him walking with it kind of flat. The right foot not quite yet. When I was trying to get the tape on his feet I kept holding his feet and making them flat. Maybe he got the idea. I certainly hope so.

Update: chick is fine today. His feet are normal and he's scooting around eating and drinking. Waiting was the best method for delayed hatch it seems.

You did great!

I've had to help a couple of chicks that had air cells on the side, and they made it alive to hatch day, but didn't pip. Those I helped I always leave in the incubator turned down to 95F for an entire day past the rest. I had one I thought had a disjointed hip and another looked like splayed legs. Both were fine when taken out. It seems just giving them time is the best, but I've had a couple of cases of the curled toes and splayed legs that I noticed on very healthy fluffy chicks that hatched fine. Those I just fix right away as time is of the essence with those!
