1. Screened 4 5 gallon buckets for DWs container mix (that 'ill keep 'er busy)
2. Frog Taped and got 2 coats of paint on bottom edge and handles of hive bodies. DW asked "what are you painting, the Sistine Chaple!?"
3. Had to charge the battery in the truck, 8 yrs old with 33,000, they tell me I have to drive it more than twice a month to the dump.

We cleared out brush & saplings using the JD Loader and heavy chains.
It was an all day affair...

In another lifetime, I got a package of bees via USPS. Got a call to get my butt down to the post office and pick them up. Got on my bike, rode 5 miles to find my bees waiting outside the post office. "And don't be ordering any more damn bees!" Package was nowhere as nice as yours.

I've gotten calls to come get them in the middle of the night.

These did not come via USPS. I picked them up in the west Walmart parking lot. Someone else was nice enough to drive a load of them up from the vendor in Cheyenne.

I do have two more packages coming via USPS. They arrived in Denver this morning and may show up at the local post office this evening.

3-introduced our new chicks to our six day old Sussex chicks. They are doing just fine together.

Potted 3 tree cuttings that I had stuck in a glass of water until they rooted. I suspect they are some kind of willow.

Went to the main post office and picked up 2 packages of bees. Headed home by 10:30 PM.

Will put the bees in their hives tomorrow.

Got a package of bees and put them in the hive.

What kind of bees did you get?

We're getting a nuc in June to replace the hive that died. Michigan born and raised (including the queen) from someone in our bee club.

The package I picked up at noon has a Wyoming bred Italian queen.

One of the packages that I picked up at 10:30 PM from the USPS has a Golden West | Randy Oliver Package Bees queen.

The other package has an OHB Italian Package Bees queen.

I will hive the last two packages today after it warms up.

I was pleased with how quickly yesterday's package of bees found the Nanking cherry and Russian almond blooms.
