Names for peahens

I am getting a peahen soon and I don't know what to name her! She is an IB too. Any ideas?!?!

Sometimes I name birds based on their personality or how they look. For example my peacock Alto was named Alto because the word Alto is the Spanish word for tall. I thought Alto was really tall when I got him so that is how he got his name.

You could name her Emma maybe...

Sometimes it takes me a while to name one!

My girls named ours Eragon and Saphira...from the books because they remind them of the beautiful dragons. We have a chick named Dragolin.

My best friend has a peacock named emrald, his mate was dimond. There chicks were named gem, ruby, crystal, and more. Maybe some of those helped?

Emrald would be a nice name since they are kind of green.

My boyfriend said Emerald would be a cool green peafowl name, but I told him it could be a misleading name since there is a term "Emerald Spalding" which means a bird with a lot of green blood. This term isn't really used much anymore I just wouldn't want there to be any confusion. XD

That is a good idea about taking cool names from books! You can also search for East Indian names since peafowl are from India. A popular thing I have noticed is to name your peafowl after Greek gods, which is really cool. I will definitely have to think about giving mine some themed names.

Indian names are great. Reasearch them. Aakira means good to look at. Pretty names, can't pronounce them.
