Hello, I have a thread telling the story about my serama hen not able to walk or stand after laboring from laying an egg. I was told to use human b complex vitamin. I've tried every possible way to give it to her and somehow I can't fool her. Can't even just directly give it to her. I have nature's Bounty sublingual liquid b complex vitamins for humans and wanted to know if it would be safe and just as beneficial. Thank you

Most liquid B vitamins dosage is 1/4 ml to 1/2 ml daily, which equals 1/4 to 1/2 tablet. B vitamins are hard to overdose because they are excreted in the kidneys.

But I just noticed this product does not have the B1 or thiamine in it. So it is okay for leg issues because it has riboflavin B2, but I wouldn’t use this for wry neck since thiamine is needed. It is given under the tongue.

Human B complex or super B complex tablets can be halved and crushed into a little food, egg, or a spoonful of water and given.

She probably is only a pound and I believe the dropper is one ml. It is safe then? It has other ingredients I guess since it is liquid form and wasn't sure if those ingredients would be safe. Sorbitol, vegetable glycerine, citric acid, potassium sorbate preservatives natural flavors and purified water. Thank you. I want to get her started on this but too afraid not knowing if it's safe

I would give 1/4 ml. If you have the B complex tablets use those. Sorbitol is okay to use in animals, but avoid any product with xylitol sweetener. The other ingredients are probably fine for as little apps you are using.

How long should I give her the B complex. I don't believe my last reply posted in the correct place. If it did I apologize for repeating. Thank you so very much 😊

Hello everyone 😁 It's been three days of using b complex vitamins and I m sure it will take some time but for how many days should I give Lizzy b complex. Googled it but can't find the answer. Thank you

Hi @MotherhenXOXO

I am looking up information about Vit B complex and I found your post. I am only after Vit B because I read that it is good for chickens and I am doing a preventative thing so that to keep them healthy.

How is your little chicken doing? I hope she is better.

A tip on posting..... if you are communicating directly to a specific person use @ like I put your name up there, this way they get a notification that they have a post directly for them.
