Yeah, everyone said the same thing that no one would take a chicken let alone baby chick to vet in Australia. They said it's not worth it but whenever it saw her thriving to eat and will to live I just have to do what I can. Now with 3 hens left (for now) I checked all diseases and meds that I can get on my own to have available at home. I just can't bear to see them suffer and unable to do anything.Oh, I'm so sorry I feel the same way when I lose a chicken. Just remember it could have been a lot worse for her and you gave her an amazing home.
It's really bad that I can't forget the baby chick and wrong to do by get 2 silkie eggs to incubate on my own. It's like toxic emotional. But I just did and so far 2 eggs developing really well. Of course, they're not replacement for loss one but just can't bear to loss that baby chick. Just say this as in general that it's not the solution at all so don't be like me do this.
