Necropsy for cat in NJ

Does anyone know where this could be done in NJ?
Did you lose your kitty? I'm sorry:hugs
You may have to go through your vet, but you can contact your state lab to see if they provide those services.
Here's a link to your lab, it's probably best to call and talk to an actual person instead of navigating through the website

I took Peanut's remains to the State lab in Ewing this morning. The normal time to get info is 10 to 30 days. They said they will try to move it along since I have other cats at home. The cost goes by weight. under 50 lbs is $125 plus $25 for disposal of the remains afterwards. The only other option is cremation but that would be another $180. I have already spent at least $1,300 in vet bills. But it is killing me to think of just leaving him to be "disposed of" Normally he would have been buried at home.

You have spent a lot. Are you worried that Peanut had something contagious the other cats could get? I'm sure it was very hard, but getting more information will help you if your other's do get sick, you may be able to offer preventative care as well.

Thanks....The necropsy is getting done. It is what to do with the remains afterwards that I am struggling with.
