I made some really good eggrolls, and froze a couple dozen of them. They are really good, but Id like to get some kind of dipping sauce for them. Somelike like a sweet and sour/peppery thing, like the new Asian Chicken boneless wing sauce at Wendy's. Does anyone have something like that?

MMmmmm sounds good!

Haven't had the Wendy's sauce you describe, but here is our fake General Tso's sauce that is pretty good on most Szechuan-style dishes:

1/4 c. peanut oil
1-2 tbsp. finely chopped garlic (adjust to taste)
1-2 tbsp. finely chopped fresh ginger root
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
3 tbsp. real maple syrup (1 1/2 tbsp. honey would also work)
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
crushed dried red pepper or chopped hot green chile peppers to taste

Saute the garlic & ginger in the hot oil. Whisk the cornstarch into the vinegar and water in a separate dish, then whisk gradually into the hot oil & spice mix. Add maple or honey, whisk till blended over heat, then add the hot pepper. Simmer a few minutes to take the raw edge off the hot peppers, then pour over the veggies/fried tofu/fish/chicken of choice. You can mix in a bit of soy sauce for salt if you want, too, but it's not totally necessary. Makes a nice dipping sauce, especially with chopped green onion on top. Usually I make this with stir fry veggies when I have a stuffy nose, the ginger and hot peppers really clear out your sinuses--especially when made with dried Thai dragon chiles.

Haven't had the Wendy's sauce you mentioned, but here are two:

Chinese Duck Sauce - we really like this one

3 cups plums, peeled and chopped
2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
1 cup water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-3 medium garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Combine all ingredients in a med-sized pan, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer uncovered until the fruit is very soft, about 30 mins., or longer.

Cool to room temperature. Mix well using blender or food processor
Store in the refrigerator.

Spicy Duck Sauce - came across this one some time back but haven't tried it yet

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground allspice
2 tbsp. dry sherry
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. chili sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced

Combine all ingredients. Mix well.

Peanut sauce:

In blender;
peanut butter
soysauce
sesame oil
cilantro

Use water to thin if you must, use a lot less soy than you think you will need.
oh and I add red pepper flakes.

Our favorite restaurant in town serves pork dumplings with this sauce (sorry there are no quantities, we barely squeezed this ingredient list out of them)

simmer together the following:

pineapple juice
rice wine vinegar
ginger
sugar
red pepper flakes
garlic

This is an amazing sauce, sweet and spicy and delicious
