Hello friends! On 10/26 my chicks had a hawk attack. The one the was injured the worst seems to be in pain. I have had her isolated since the event. 10/26 - 11/1 I cleaned her wound morning and evening with Vetericyn Plus and then added Neosporin. I also have a red light and have been giving her red light therapy which she loves. She gets an occasional supervised visit from one of my docile chicks which she seems to enjoy. She has continued to eat and drink since the attack and was steadily improving. Her water is mixed with local honey, garlic, and ACV (I have used this since I got them). I had to go out of town 11/2-11/3. She had someone watching over her and making sure she had food and water and even spending time with her. As of this morning she seems to have regressed. She is crying out as if she is in pain. I am attaching photos of the wound. First photo is after it happened on 10/26, second photo was 10/28 and third photo is today. The wound does not smell. Her limp seems to be better, but she is less active and again the thing that is the toughest is hearing her cry out. She is still eating and drinking and I have resumed treating it with Vetericyn Plus. I am wondering if there is anything else I should be doing, specifically to help with the pain. She is 7 weeks as of today.
P.S. She also could very possibly be a he

Can you get a video of the noise she makes?
Upload video to YouTube and provide a link.

The wound looks to be healing.

Do you have any antibiotics on hand, just in case?

For pain, Meloxicam would probably be the best choice, but you could give aspirin for a day or two. https://poultrydvm.com/drugs/aspirin

I think the wound looks a lot better. A video of the noise would be helpful, as said earlier

This is encouraging! Good news is she rested and ate a lot yesterday and the crying out subsided. If she picks back up again I will get a video. When I went to do her wound care this morning it seemed to be more painful for her to open her wing than previously. I'm wondering if it is just because it is healing over. I bought some low does Aspirin- would you use this as a last resort?

That is encouraging! I was thinking so too- the only part I wasn't sure about is where it looks a bit more white in the crease of where her wing is in the last photo. If she starts to cry out again I will get a video. First time with chickens and I haven't quite learned their language yet LOL.
