Need help ASAP

Have you reviewed the symptoms of Merek's disease? Wry neck and legs not working can be symptoms of Merek's disease. There are several articles on this site that can be very helpful in diagnosing from symptoms and figuring out what to do.

I'm sorry your roo is sick.
I thought Merck's disease was something that they got when they were younger he's 6 years old and yeah I don't know I'm going to go check out the article it seems like I get tired of hearing that Merck's disease I think sometimes they don't they put that they label it when they don't know what else it could be when they don't know what to who knows I'm sorry I'm just up in the air with all this and I need to just I think have eat breakfast or something cuz I'm not thinking very clearly right now I don't I'm just stumped

He's like 6 years old he eats corn and blueberries mostly,We only have 2 hens and 2 roosters left, other 4 hens died from Egg parasitism?? It's where there egg drops but not come out, cooks inside them, one hen is starting to do same, all seem to have yellowish poop right now,but the rooster that's sick right now is like 2 years older than rest, and about year ago I come home from work and he could not walk, then he learned to hop on 1 leg was doing everything he normally does except for being on 1 leg ,he tried mating but could not,I keep him mostly inside but get him out everyday mostly.fastforward a year And we are here, about 4 days ago he couldn't walk ,I figured he must of hurt his good leg,he struggled and i would carry him outside let him lay in grass when it nice out, then carry him back in the on 3 day ,I left for work ,came home and noticed his neck slightly twisted like looking up,thought a good Epsom salt soak might help leg, then blowed dried him off and really noticed his neck twisted,( he enjoyed bath and blow dry)so I put him to bed and next morning he's wildly fapping and ,neck twisted looking up ,I thought he was dying, called vet got him in ,told them I wanted to give him vitamin shots they did, sent me home with big horse pills I am suppose to crunch up in water and give to him, plus an anti-inflammatory I'll take pic of it,so he flapped around in middle of night a few times, when I woke up to get him up to give meds to both legs stuck straight out in front and head twisted.takes inflammatory well, but can not make him take the antibiotic!!! He eats his corn really well, trys to eat blueberries,he gets 2 to 3 down and stops,I tried to give him nutridrench but he's so stubborn won't take, but he did drink a little water.eats corn ,wet corn really well , he pooped 2 poops this mornjng nevermind the wires, thats out back on porch I'll send pics from vets in a minuteView attachment 4084104

They can have Merek's disease for years with no symptoms then come down with symptoms when they get older and their immune system starts failing due to old age. I'm not an expert on Merek's which is why I would refer you to the folks on this site who are. There are some folks on here who have Merek's positive flocks, and one member who has successfully used Chinese skullcap to reverse the symptoms of Merek's disease (you have to keep administering it for the rest of the chickens life, and they may still be contagious, but the symptoms basically go into remission).

If you do a search on here of the Articles, there's at least one really great one I recall, also there are many threads on how to manage and treat.

Next time you make a post in the Emergency Forum, DON'T make any more posts in response to your original post. You can edit your original post, but when a posting has responses, the knowledgeable folks who usually respond to emergencies think someone else has answered your question, and they may scroll past without reading your post. I made the same mistake when I was new. I'll tag a few folks who may be able to help better than I can.

@azygous @Eggcessive can either of you help?

Thank you for the info,I did not know thank you.

It appears he has Wry Neck. If all he has been eating is corn and blueberries then it is most likely caused by a nutritional deficiency. Get some human vitamin E (400 IU daily) and B complex (1/2 tablet daily) and give for a few weeks. Also try giving him some cooked egg. If you can get it where you live, switch your flock's feed to a balanced complete pelleted or crumble all flock or chick feed.

Open up his beak (you can gently pull down on his wattles), pop it in the back of his mouth, then close his beak and wait for him to swallow it.
