Update I don’t know if this is normal she looks in pain and that infected eye shut, I flushed the eye and put ointment, the other eye is normal but I’m not sure how long till her infected eye will go back to normal? I just feel so sad how she’s going through that, I’m not sure if it can lead to death? She’s eating and drinking. But I can tell she’s a little bit in pain she scratches her eye and she just chirps in pain while she does it. It would help if some of yall can give me advice and answer my questions this is the first time, I will really appreciate it thank you.

Are you giving her antibiotics? Things like this probably will lead to death if not treated
Does she move around much or is she lethargic?

Have you added any new chickens to the flock? How long have you had her and how old is she? She might have been pecked in her eye, or gotten something stiuck. But this also can be a sign of a respiratory infection such as MG (mycoplasma gallisepticum.) That is a contagious chronic sinus infection, and it can show up within days when exposed by a new bird or some birds may carry it. Any stress can bring about symptoms. Tylosin, Denagard or TiaGard, doxycycline and oxytetracycline are antibiotics that may treat it. Continue cleaning the eye twice a day and applying either Terramycin or plain Neosporin ointment to the eye twice daily. Any pus should come out. Help her eat and drink while her eyesight is poor and she is feeling bad. Here is a good article to read:

She was hatched in a incubator, we had her for 6 weeks now, she has 5 other ones who have been with her but they don’t have any infected eyes, I was thinking that she been pecked last week because it started with a small which looked like a wound above her eye it started to look swollen until this week her eyes started shutting then it fully closed we took all the puss out when we opened her eyes this morning but she’s eating and drinking normally. Thank you so much for the tips and the links, I really appreciate it!!!!

One of the simplest things to clean eyes is to use homemade sterile saline. Dissolve 2 tsp of table salt in a quart of water, and boil, then simmer it for 15 minutes. Cool and place it in a clean jar. Use it to rinse the eye twice a day. Antibiotic ointment is good to use for treatment of bacterial infection.

Did you use actual antibiotics or just the herbal remedy for infection?

I wasn't sure from your response if you tried both or just the herbal.

Oh sorry! Just the herbal but I ordered the antibiotic for the eye because they didn’t have some in store.
