Need help with a lump on comb

He doesn't have any other symptoms, acting completely normal, no strange smells, eating good, and poos are OK, no weight loss.

Tried searching online but can't find anyone with a picture that looks similar. All other comb things are crusty with discharge, or cuts, or black and crusty etc.

He's about 8 1/2 years old.
 
This could be a simple abscess. Since this lesion is so close to the eye, I would apply terramycin ointment to soften the lesion. Apply twice daily for three days and reevaluate. Also, make sure he is on a proper diet. Similar lesions are seen on parrots who are lacking Vitamin A in the diet.

Soft lumps are cysts or abscesses, a hard lump is usually a tumor.

It looks like there is a yellowish scab near the front that might be the source of infection? I'd soak the scab (if it is that) with a warm compress and see if the lump can be expressed.
