We are stumped on how to redo the bathrooms. I didn't know if anyone had any ideas. The master bathroom will be 9x12 and the downstairs 11x9. Those measurements are in the open area. It doesn't count the outside walls in like most room measurements are. Ignore the 11' measurement since we are moving the wall to 12'.
The doors haven't been framed yet so we can move them along the wall. They will be 36" wide doors. The upstairs door if it was moved I'd probably move it closer to the outside wall (upward on the picture) so we have more wall space in our bedroom.
My husband would like to build a large custom shower upstairs. He wants one big enough to have a seat area. Not sure of the measurements for it.
I wouldn't mind putting a hidden laundry shoot under the vanity since the bathrooms are above one another.
The downstairs bathroom will have the washer and dryer. I'd rather have them unstacked so I can build a storage place under them and cause those things are heavy and shake around.
I want a shower/tub combo downstairs to bathe my son in and it will later be his main bathroom. My husband would like to have a bath once in a while which most standard tubs are to small for his size (one in picture is standard). I was either thinking of a large corner one or one of the 42" wide ones. It would need walls around it though for the shower. The guy that did the bathroom layout didn't put the wall at the end of the tub so it wouldn't work to get to the washer and dryer. I want the bathroom open and not crowded. I thought of putting the faucet end in the wall we have to build in the room or in the utility room wall so we can easily fix it if something happens. The wall needs to be 6" if we have plumbing in it and 4" if we don't.
