Neighbor dogs and chickens

I live in a neighborhood with shared backyard fences that allows chickens. We have a two neighbors whose dogs sound like if they met the will kill each other. They are not out all the time, but when they are it's a war zone. We want to build a coop along the fence the two dogs are at. The chickens will never see these dogs, so would the noise of the war zone affect the chickens.

They can be startled by loud sudden noises, but they do tend to get used to them. I have neighbors who put those huge tailpipes on their vehicle and then rev the engines saw the songbirds fly out of the bushes, but my chickens are used to it so they don’t flinch anymore

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined! I agree that the chickens might be startled at first (ours took a long time to get used to the sound of traffic). Hopefully they will get used to it soon.

I agree with Jen above, they'll get used to it. People have chickens with screaming kids next door, probably they'll never get used to that though.

Welcome to BYC. I'd be more worried about the dogs doing as @sourland suggested than the noise. Be sure your coop and run are very well built & that your run is covered.
