Hi, is Garrett the only duck you have? If so, it would be a good idea to get him some company of his own kind (that will be especially important when he reaches maturity).
Hiya, and welcome to BYC!
Garrett is a cutie!
We're glad you're here!
Lol, guess you were right because yesterday (I think) we got him some companions along with 4 more chickens. So I guess you jinxed it! Thanks!![]()
Update: We have gotten two more ducks to give Garrett some company, and I've started to notice that ever since those two ducks have been introduced. They have been following Garrett around. That's all for now! Farewell, my fellow chicken and duck lovers. This is Garrett's new life at a brand new home, and he's fitting in just right! We have so many chickens in our home and are working to build them a coop. This is very exciting for us, as we have never had this many pets in one home. How many do we have exactly? Well there's our two dogs, Hank, and Lachlan. Along with our four kitty cats, Hamlet, Lilly, Juniper, and Dexter. Now here comes the best part, our Chickens: Marshmallow, Angel, Mabel, Camilla, Sophie, Tilly, Goldie, Daisy, Rose, Mary, and two other chicks we're yet to name, and best for last our first ever Duck :: Garrett. We have put Garrett in with the more grown chickens (Marshmallow, Angel, Mabel, Camilla, Sophie, Tilly, Goldie, and Daisy) because of Garrett picking on our baby chickies Rose, Mary, and the other two. Our grown chickens are very wary of Garrett since he is just a cute baby duck with a fierce soul. Nipping gently at their butts, and feathers not necessarily harming them but playfully fighting with them, with not one playing back. But, putting him with them was a great decision we have made with this little angel. I hope to see him grow up well, and be an amazing friend to our growing family.
Lol, yeah glad we did!Glad you got him some duck company!
Thank youOf course! I only have some, but if you need more just hit me up!
