(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes I’m new, a neighbor gifted me 4 chickens but I know nothing about them. I got them about a month ago in September

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4

(3) What breeds do you have? I’m trying to figure that out so I can get more accurate data

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Being Self Sufficient

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Electronics, Fixing Stuff (trying)

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I’m just trying to get these birds to lay some eggs.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I just did a google search for “identity my chicken” and this site popped up so I’m giving it a try, I can’t download apps from the Apple Store because I’m kinda locked out of my account, I don’t remember my Apple ID password and I don’t want to really lock myself out so I’m just using this website thru my phone.

If you know what kind or type breed these chickens are please let me know. Also if you see something wrong please be nice about it and tell me. I don’t do things wrong purposely, sometimes people don’t know and need to be informed. If that’s you, do it right. Be nice.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to explore and hang out. These may not old enough to lay yet?
Are you able to talk to the friend who gave them to you.
You may want to change the wire to hardware cloth raccoons can reach through chicken wire.
