New chicken Bullying older Chicken

Hi all,

We added 4 pullets to my 1 chicken from our original flock she is our old mama from our original flock and we love her so much so wanted her to have friends since her sister had died- we had them in a fenced off part of the yard for 3 weeks, and have let them mingle in the 1/4 acre yard the last week. They mostly just ignored one another, but we noticed one of the new hens (a RIR) has become a billy to her own sisters and chases and pecks our old mama.

I have since seperated her and have tried several times to intergrate and it doesnt matter how long I keep her in a seperate coop as soon as she comes out she goes right back to her behavior, my husband has really taken to her because she is very sweet and loves to be held, I would love to be able to integrate her but honestly I am afraid to subject the rest of the flock to her wrath.

I dont know what else to do outside of giving her away she is 1 years old.

Thank you for the suggestion I have been thinking of it but looks as if it would hurt her.

A lot of people with small flocks swear by them. Thing is, she is hurting the other birds. But most hens wear them successfully with no issues. I would give it a try if I did not want her culled.
