New chicken farmer

I've had chickens for 2 years, I felt like I was doing great. Chickens were super healthy, and everything was going good. Then a coulple months ago within about a week timespan 6 out of my 7 died. Most without any symptoms and looked fine the night before, found them face down in the morning. 2 wyondott and 4 bard rock. Absolutely blew me away. Especially because my girls were so we'll taken care of. Still to this day I have no clue what they suffered from. Drives me nuts. I had brought two rescue ducks into the mix 2 months prior thinking that might be it. Anywhoo,
Fast forward to today and getting back at it. Picked up 2 isa browns and 2 Turkens about a week ago. All supposed to be pullets. I can't let my 1 survivor girl be a third wheel to the ducks.

Welcome. Do you know it wasn't a predator attack? Weasels can get through any hole an inch or bigger and the bite is little.

Ya I actually held one when she went. She was lethargic and not looking good that morning, picked her up and was holding her and she just tensed up then went limp and a ton of liquid drained outta her mouth for quite a bit. A couple were lethargic for part of a day then we're just face down. 1 bard rock hen stuck around for 2 days hardly moving till I just felt too bad. The rest were very quick with hardly signs. And my 1 survivor never got sick at all. The black duck had it too and had a very rough time with it for weeks. Very neurological id say. The white duck nothing, other than his weepy eyes which I've been working since I took him over. (Which is almost cleared) I feel bad telling this. Pretty brutal story.
