I inherited my 9 chickens when I moved into my new home 4 months ago. I have no idea what breeds my chickens are I know there’s a mixture!
I’m originally from the UK but have recently settled in South Africa. I chose to join because of the wealth of information that is available to us chicken mums and dads.
My chickens have gotten used to me now and they know seeing me means food
.
I have had to read up very quickly on how to look after chickens.
With the help of my gardener Victor I think we’re doing a good job. My girls get cleaned once a week, freshwater most days and delicious kale and other goodies from my garden, as well as kitchen scraps.
As well as the chickens, I also inherited two zebra finches.
