Good evening!

We just got our first set of chickies!! We've been considering and researching and planning for years! Finally took the plunge and got 22 to start with. We shall see how this goes!! With 5 kiddos in the house - we easily go through 18 or so eggs a day... time we had layers to provide our family with the good stuff!! ;-)

Well, Welcome!! What breed did you get?? Did you get all pullets or straight run chicks?

Welcome!

As you have already received some good advice and links, I will just wish you and your flock all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
