Hi, all!
I had chickens growing up (many moons ago). Having them in my older years seems so different!
My husband & I inherited an older bunch of chickens almost a year ago. I have since added 10 chick's who are my babies & now about 12 -14 weeks old.
Plus I allowed a broody hen sit 3 eggs of which only 1 hatched & it is about 4-5 weeks old now.
Now we have gone from 3 roos, & 8 hens to 3 for sure roos, 8 for sure hens , 10 supposed to be pullets & 1 little one i am betting is a roo. Our I lnherited bunch are a bunch of a mess of breeds , I believe... Brahma bantams, a big white hen, and a silkie! THE new ones include- 4- red sex-links,, 1 black copper Marans, 1 California white ... all of which I am fairly confident are pullets. The next 4 are Easter Eggers that were supposed to have been sexed pullets (I'm having doubts about 2 of them being pullets)
