Welcome to the forums.. yes.. i agree.. quails are very nice as they are. take care of them. thay a pretty good start for farming.. see you more in our forums.Hi I'm Lauren. I keep 6 female Japanese quails and they are adorable. My favourite thing about them is that as well as being cute they give me novelty tiny eggs that I can use and make money from. I also enjoy reading books and I do a lot of baking and other cooking, which is why these are such great pets for me. I don't have any other pets and as I only got my quails at the start of November '19 this is a scary new journey! My most recent breakthrough was yesterday when I had to clean out the quails. I went in and found that one of them had a bleeding wing. I think this was from hitting it on one of the bricks which I stupidly keep my feeders on so that they don't get muck inside. I cleaned it up and then put it by itself to heal with its own food and water. I gave the remaining birds in their run a bowl full of sunflower seeds. Before that today, only half of my quails maximum had ever laid every day but when I went in today, I found 5 eggs in the run and even one where I was keeping my injured quail! This was amazing for me! I can tell that at least one of them is new to laying because one of my eggs didn't have any shell which, when I looked it up, meant that the quail was unused to laying. I have had a fabulous day and I hope everyone will have this kind of experience one day!!![]()
