New quails!

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I got two new white Coturnix quails and they are happy living in their cage. They have to be separated from my other brown Coturnix quail since she has been showing aggression since we first got her. She took the skin off of one of the white quails neck when I tried to introduce them. Happy quail keeping!

Yeah, I heard one guy say in a video that his most aggressive coturnix were all white. Makes you wonder.

Yes, the English Whites get picked on the most by other darker plumaged Coturnix quail. In the bird world if one bird is a different color from the group, they will try to run them off or kill the 'different one'!

Very pretty . We hatched a silver this last batch, can't call it white because the black and white are whiter . We have all different colors (confetti style all ground kept) and no one is really aggressive that I've seen color wise-- just when our ratio of boys to girls gets off. I have that same bird cage . We got it from the bulk trash pile. It's so nice to have something small to put injuries off by themselves so the others don't poke at them but still inside the big coop. Are you keeping them in there long term?
