Hi everyone!!
I'm new to BYC(as the header said! LOL). I'm starting my flock on June 4th when I pick up my chicks at Mt. Healthy. I'm here to learn everything I can before I pick up the babes. I've already started preparing, purchasing necessities and the coop/run is going to be build next month prior to their arrival. I'm most scared of them getting pasty butt and bumblefoot, so if anyone has any advice on how to prevent these things, it would be amazing and TYIA!! Also, do you veterans think starting chicks on medicated feed is advisable? They'll come vaccinated for Marek's disease, but I also know that coccidosis is a thing.
