Hi all! I’m very new to chickens in terms of actually raising them myself, but I’ve been around them all my life!
I have one chicken right now, a rooster named Rocket! I’m looking to get into raising hens for eggs, nothing insane, just a small homestead farm, so I’d figure I’d join this forum for more helpful advice/information on how to do so!
I live in Hawaii, so chickens are a big thing here. One thing I really love about chickens is how distinct and different their personalities can be! It was surprising at first, if I’m being honest. Despite being around chickens all my life, raising them and connecting with them are very different from being around them. I love their funky personalities so much.
This is my beautiful boy! I love him dearly and have had him since he was about a day old chick. He’s about 6 months old now, and he is the sweetest little man ever. Wouldn’t trade him for the world.
That’s about it! I cannot wait to learn more about these silly beautiful creatures!
