New to geese, how to care for broody goose - need help please

Wow, I am almost dreading the next ones hatching the way Homer, the gander is acting towards this baby.......I'm letting him in each day to see if he's handling it better. He paces all day up and down the adjoining fence waiting for his girls to come out.......

Hopefully in time.........

Here is a photo. Sorry it took me so long. Weekends here are crazy. I'm in PT for a couple ruptured discs etc and I don't understand the word "dont'" LOL

This is Pearl with Daisy's baby lol. They are both protective over it. Daisy is still on the eggs but is coming off the nest!!

Reality dawned on me too.........For now I have my original 4, I have 3 I hatched the 1st of May (I sold the others) and what is it going to be like selling these when their mommas are watching them????? I'm in big trouble with DH......I can see it now.....

Success!!! Homer is now with the momma and baby! Whew!! He's been pacing every day for so long, he's asleep with them lol!
I think I better move Daisy to the lower nest......I hear peeping..:pop
do you think it's ok to move her with babies hatching and so forth? I doubt she'll leave the nest today. Yesterday morning was the last time she bathed and ate. I waited due to Pearl and baby being on the lower one....i don't want the babies to fall off the shelf and not able to get back up.....

Yes, I can. The two moms are doing well together and sharing the baby. I had them fully blocked off. I've been letting Homer in daily and watching him like a hawk to be sure he doesn't hurt it. You were right when you said 1-2 weeks :D
I just didn't know if I could move her while they are hatching......it'll have to be smooth and quick....? This is how Pearl (other momma) ended up being the momma to Daisy's baby. I still for the life of me can't figure out how two hatched so very early and they weren't broody! Homer got moved from their little fenced in area real quick.....he's still learning lol

Yayyy. Baby is hatched.
The last 3 eggs (candled in the light) also appear days away. I was able to remove 3 more eggs after it was out of the egg. Thank you for your help!!! I am relieved there's not as many fertile eggs left.

It's amazing how smart they are.......I was going to move her and the baby was coming out of the egg. ( i saw this after it was out and she raised up to change positions lol)Daisy was going to take my head off lol. So, I waited (she's been really sweet up till then). She's back to her sweet self and I could swear I see her looking proud as a peacock! :wee

The baby didn't make it :idunnoPoor Daisy is beside herself but is slowly sharing the one baby with Pearl. Poor girls look rough when broody that long. This is not a good photo, I snapped it when I was stepping out the door vs while they were out further in the pasture:

And the other one that is keeping me really going lately........is the 3 juniors I hatched....Opie, June Bug and Lil Bit....
A raccoon attacked two of them and I mean did a job. One unharmed, one is ok now and Lil Bit has been in the house more than outside until a week ago. That thing bit down into the top of her thigh. She had 6 puncture wounds and I thought she wouldn't make it. I took her to the vet (this all happened a month ago) got her pain meds and I had already put her on antibiotics. She's using her leg more and more now. I still have to give her breaks. They all (the 4 adults and 3 juniors) do ok together with the exception of at times Homer can sneak up on her. She's still getting house breaks and under supervision:
