Niacin content of mazuri

Mazuri has a lottt of niacin compared to other feeds; It was enough niacin even for my big geese. I wouldn’t think you’d need to supplement at all, but it also wouldn’t hurt to sprinkle in a little extra, if you’re concerned.

my geese won’t touch the mazuri. ducks love it though. weird geese

Strange, my geese go a little nuts for it lol. Tons of loud, happy chattering when I bring it out.
possibly if i gave them some every day for a month they might start eating it. they take forever to try something new.
presently they love the duck pellet mash with nutritional yeast that i make for them every morning, and then they snack on their all flock pellets, grass & vegetables like lettuce or kale the rest of the day.
so yeah i give my 2 pilgrim geese 1 tbsp of nutritional yeast daily, also my 15 ducks share 1tbsp of it in their morning mash as well. ( i even give my 3 chickens 1tsp of it in their mash because they love it so much and it’s a tiny bit extra protien and sort ofa probiotic quality to it as well.

I have fed Mazuri for the past few years and haven't added niacin to my ducks/ducklings feed, other than a couple times when my runner ducklings had wobbly legs for a couple weeks. However I agree, Pekins seem to need more when they are ducklings and I would sprinkle some nutritional yeast or brewers yeast over their food if you get that breed. Also maybe other heavy-weight breeds, I don't know as I don't have experience with them. Also, just keep an eye out, and if you see any weakness at all developing then add some yeast or the liquid vitamin B complex.
