No crow collar — what’s your experience?

I have a whole bunch of unintentional roosters. I use the velcro no crow collars. I make my own now. I have had excellent results. They stay on 24/7. As long as you do not make it too tight, they are just fine. I'm not chasing down roosters all night to remove a collar just to put it back on in the morning. I visually check them everyday, they breathe eat and drink k just fine.

How long did the roosters wear them for? Months? Years? Did you had it on 24/7 or you take off at certain times?
Another user said the collars make them uncomfortable so they don’t eat much and loose alot of weight. What’s your experience?

One rooster has been wearing the crow collar for a little over 2 years and the other 13 months.

I live in a neighborhood and got them from a neglect situation. Would like to keep them together with the flock so I’ve been trying to experiment with everything. I want to give them quality of life as best as I can including outdoors time foraging with everyone. one is Bantam and 1 copper Maran I think. Thanks

I bought the Crow Collar from online, but I didn’t like it. I bought some hoop and loop/velcro that’s the same width, cut it to the size I needed in length. That’s what they wear.
So far the older AC has been wearing it a little over a year. The other AC has been wearing it for about 8 months.
