Noises roosters make.. a question about meaning

I think the roo is saying "Im gonna be a papa soon!!!!!... good for me!"

My rooster makes the whining noise when I put the hens in their own coop & wait for him to go in the second one with two pullets that were hatched at the same time as he was. The three are about 4 months old & he is very attentive to the year old hens but hasn't matured beyond the age when he just jumps on a hen with no courtship moves at all. That's why I'm keeping him separate for now.
