North Carolina

If I hear of any I'll be sure to let you know.

They sometimes sell eggs at a livestock auction near me, but it would be about a three hour drive for you.
Thanks! I'd be willing to drive but I don't know any places or towns that have them. I'm still a bit new to getting chickens other than tractor supply or trading hatching eggs with people on Craigslist.

Hey everyone.

How y'all doing? I've been trying to find some geese eggs for hatching or goslings for my Mom. She was given an egg but sadly it wasn't fertilized. She's pretty bummed out about it. I'm scared to get any shipped cause the Shallotte post office has been killing chicks from Tractor supply by not notifying until it's been days after they get them.

Let me know here or PM me please!
I don't know anyone that has Geese. Hopefully you can source some eggs through CL?
You may have to look at surrounding towns/counties on CL to find some, not sure.

I’m planning on starting a thread on legit, heavy-duty recycled plastic hen coops like Nestera (meaning henhouses themselves, not the attached runs), with pros and cons - once we get ours set up and the pullets arrive. I need all the feedback and ideas I can get!!
We should unite. I am finding these coops to be hugely misunderstood. I just got a Nestera that I am super excited about, but finding a lot of "bullying" online whenever I mention that it is what I have.

Hi I'm currently in Marion nc and I have a huge coop and unfortunately only one hen an I have no idea we're to get a chicken from the one I have was have to me anyone with chickens for sale please let me know
Welcome To BYC!

You may want to look at your local Craigslist listings to see if there's any chickens available. Also check to see if your TSC has a bulletin board, mine does and often there's notices left about different animals for sale, etc.
If you have a small local feed store, sometimes they have a board too or if you shop there fairly often and they are familiar with you, the storekeeper may have some leads for you.

If you don't find anything right away, don't give up. The "season" is still fairly early. Come summer/fall, a lot of folks that have gotten chickens in Spring, decide that they don't want them or they may need to reduce a flock, etc. I know having to wait is sometimes hard to do, but you may find better offerings later in the year.

Good luck with your search.

Anyone in or around south Brunswick want some chicks? I have Mille Fleur D'Uccle bantams that were hatched out 4/1. I don't really want anymore and I've been trying to sell them on Craigslist cause FB keeps removing my posts.

I have 7 of them. Please anyone want them?

Have you checked for local livestock auctions? I'm about 160 miles north of you, and we have a livestock auction nearby, in Stokes.

They're so cute. Wish I had room.
