ANOTHER UPDATE .
I have power.
Crews from all over working hard. Took them 2 days just to cut out a short section to get this leg going, I'm thankful! My 93yr old Mom is too!

We are still o.k.

We are not as hard hit as many areas, so keep praying for those that have no or limited water, food/supplies etc.

A few stores are open (limited) and there's fuel. So very blessed.

Cell service is bad, goes out (none!) For 12 hrs at a time or so.

Hoping @Miss Lydia and others are doing ok.

They have a sterling reputation. Also, their headquarters are in Boone, where there was a lot of flooding.

I still think CB radios are the way to go. Don't need to worry about cell service failing.

We are too dependent on technology. Old school is more reliable... and cash is still king. Wait till the credit card machines crash because of no internet connection.
