Not recovering from molt?

I typically keep 3-4 hens, one of which seem to have never recovered from molt. I have 2 Lavender Orps since chicks. In 2022 they were both beautifully feathered and colored. Then after molt last year one simply never seemed to grow back her feathers. She eats, poops, and lays, but she looks miserable. I don’t see any bugs or injury. Just her “alternative hairstyle”.
Any ideas?

What's the protein percentage of the food you're feeding them? Too little protein can lead to rougher molts

The bag feed is 16%. Plus they snack on black sunflower seeds a few times a week. Other random snacks as well.

I would switch their feed to an all flock with 20% protein and oyster shells served on the side in a separate dish and cut out the sunflower seeds. 16% is the bare minimum amount of protein, but it's not ideal, especially for a molting bird 'cause feathers are basically protein

'Lavender' birds often carry the 'shredder' gene which makes for funky feathering...nothing to cure it afaik.
