Nu-Stock.

its a horse/dog/cat medication that works REALLY well. It’s for cuts and hair regroth. I’ve started using it on my halflinger (horse) that rubbed a open sore on the back of his ear. The NEXT DAY (yesterday) it was CLOSED. so i put on more everywhere he was missing little bits of fur from fly bites , I will see how he is doing this afternoon.

I was wondering about possible using Nu-Stock for feather regrowth on chickens. I have a bird missing a lot of feathers from being bullied in the winter. She hasn’t gotten better over six months and I was wondering if Nu-stock could help her out and grow her feathers back .

it is
73% sulfur
2%pine
25%mineral oils

Could it work? Can chickens even use it? If this works I will pass the news around cause it was pretty powerful for the horse.

Photos of the hen?

If the feather follicles are still intact from the picking, then generally they will not feather back in until molt.

NuStock is often used around the vent area where a hen may be bald or plucked. You could try a little Nu Stock on her bare area to see if that makes any difference. If the area is large, may try a small section and see how it goes.

Ok thanks for the reply:) she has a lot of shafts still in but where there are no shafts I will happily apply newstock! I was a bit more worried if it would be bad for her 😅
