I am trying to give the flock a boost of vitamins. The heat has stressed them and I want to make sure they don’t get sick. I mixed the 4oz per gallon per bottle instructions. It looks like syrup. Am I understanding and mixing this correctly?

When you say heat stress what exactly does that mean?
They are breathing through the mouth and a few look agitated during the hot part of the day. I added a fan today also. It’s 90 deg. Plus I just got a new batch in that need the extra.

My birds never liked drinking the Nutri-Drench/water mixture - so I use it in their wet mash. Hydro Hen is another good product for summer - probiotics, electrolytes, and acidifiers, and smells like vanilla :)

That’s good to know. I had my doubts about the taste for birds after seeing how thick it was once mixed.
I never heard of Hydro Hen. I will look for that on my next trip to the feed store.
I think I will use the weakest dilution on the list for the drench. Any help at all for them in this heat should help. They huddle up behind the trash can when I let them out to free range. It’s close to the kitchen door and close to the snacks. They have a big oak tree for shade but they are still hot.

It's not that hot here, yet - but I have noticed a few times where a hen will exit the nest box, and go stand in the water bowl for a minute to cool down! So after the rain passes, I guess I'll have to pull out all their "pools" from storage... I'm not ready for summer - I want more SPRING! 🌷
