I thought I’d update everyone that our Marans baby died today.
We are fairly certain she had coccidious however and are treating everyone with cocciprol now. We’ve got another chick going down hill but not as sick as the she was. She had no bloody stool until today.. we aren’t sure how she’s possibly caught this.. the only thing I can consider is she’s come to us unwell? But I have no idea.

I'm sorry to see you've lost two of your babies. Hopefully everyone else will respond well to the coccidia treatment. Follow that up with probiotics and vitamins in their water once treatment is completed.

Yes I have vitamins and probiotics waiting and ready to add in for them! Chicks are so hard to know whether they are gonna go up or down.. I’m absolutely devastated but I know I can’t sit and focus on that, and I’ve just gotta keep up the protocol for cocci and get the others 100%!
