Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

The travelers were weary, and Leur didn't miss their wary glances. Winter did a fine job directing the dragons further into the bunker, and Leur assisted the exhausted Truckers, who all knew they had a night's drive ahead of them. Most of them asked for food, a few just needed a good minute of rest. The bunker could only hold so many trucks, and most of the first batch had to move out within twenty minutes in order to make space for the new arrivals.
Two hours later, sixty trucks had come and gone, and there was a reliving spot of silence between the following caravan. Something must have held them up.
Leur studied the mingling dragons, finding Winter among the crowd. She watched him for a moment, her eyes then drawn towards a small group of humans, maybe a dozen in total. Quite a few sat or leaned against the wall, some appeared to be sleeping. Leur lifted her head and approached, avidly listening for proceeding trucks.

(I skipped a bit, but I think that's what you were, uh... Thinking, too. Since the last group is the one that... Actually... Matters. : D)
OKAY FINE, I'LL FIX THE FISHING SIZE OF THE DRAGONET

Say she is about the size of a pony because she is only THREE YEARS OLD. Her snout is about at Tobias's chest.

Happy?
Kay, maybe this next one can have them, we can timelapse a bit, then get to the others. :p

Winter has been pretty much everywhere and was fully exhausted already.
There was an unexpected pause after the sixtieth truck, and Winter stepped away from the main crowd to catch his breath. There were so many dragons, more than there had ever been. A lot—in fact, the majority of dragons were scarred in various places, and a few looked like they couldn’t even make it out of town. Winter knew the disabled and weariest ones would stay until tomorrow, and all the healthier ones, like the group of twenty walking out now, would leave as soon as they caught their breath and got food and medical help. The large group left the bunker, fully provisioned and ready to take off wherever they were planning on going, and Raptor walked out behind them. Winter raised his right wing to signal where he was, and the dragoness walked over. “Is that all?” She asked tiredly. Winter knew this was a lot for her to handle socially, but he also knew she’d keep going until all of the trucks came and went.
He grimaced, “no, there’s..” the SnowWing paused, counting in his head, “forty-five more trucks. Sorry.” Raptor groaned and rubbed her face. “I’m gonna end up staying up all night,” she mumbled. “I used to think staying up all night would be cool, but this is just.. awful.”
Winter laughed tiredly, agreeing with a, “yup.”

Leuria assisted the humans as needed. Many were injured, exhausted, yet grateful for her help. She fed them, provided medical supplies.
The next truck finally arrived, headlights illuminating the hundreds of jam-packed dragons huddled against the walls. A few dragons had already left, flying out in small groups, providing more space for the resting injured.
Twenty trucks came and went, and the morning sun illuminated the sky, and Leuria could feel her energy begin to fade. She stayed close to Winter until the last accounted transport rolled in. She muffled a yawn with the back of her hand.

Yeh. That's the one where all the important ones are right?

(Finally time for the checkpoint scene if your character is here! This truck is Sol and his gang, the ones with Shrike are already here)

It was well past midnight by now. Winter could hardly keep his eyes open, but finally the last truck rolled up. He gave a weak attempt at a grin to Leuria. “Ready for the last one?” He asked, and the large vehicle came to a stop. The truck driver waited as Winter opened the back doors, waving to the dragons inside to come out.
“Come on,” he said tiredly, and caught sight of Tobias. Winter looked at Leuria and tilted his head at the man. “You wanna get that Ria?” He asked absently, and without waiting for a proper response, walked towards the bunker house door.

Kapok flopped down on the ground close to one of the walls.
Dragons filed in and out of the space from the transports, many of them dispersing quickly and flying away, others resting throughout the checkpoint's limited space.
Kapok would technically be considered one of the ones scheduled to leave, but he'd decided to stay with Shrike. Very few Cloudwings who had escaped the Den could currently fly, and Shrike was no exception to that. The Leafwing felt obligated to stay with the smaller dragon, sure, for his own comfort, but more out of loyalty. Shrike had stuck with him ever since the two of them had been thrown together in the Den, and Kapok had decided to uphold that partnership, even now that they were free.
The Leafwing strained his neck to see through the bustling crowd, spotting the Cloudwing a short distance away and signaling him over with one wing, unsure if Shrike had actually seen him.

Eclipse stepped back toward the wall as the dragons inside the transport began filing out. Shard remained tucked beneath her wing, the small dragonet pressing against her side nervously as the lights in the truck flicked off, leaving only the dim light spilling from the open doors. The Lunarwing quickly scanned the group, her eyes adjusting quickly.

Leur had noticed both Sol and August almost immediately. She did not make eye contact, directing her attention towards the shining LunarWing, then Winter.
"You wanna get that, Ria?" The SnowWing asked.
"No." She said, moving away from the trailer. She rounded the trailer, rapping knuckles against the Trucker's door. He opened it. She pushed food and bottled water into his dry hands, watching as the dragons exited the trailer. When Sol didn't appear in the group, she walked back around, and she climbed into the trailer, albeit with a begrudging air.
"I'll carry him." She said, feeling Sol's eyes drill into the back of her head as she knelt and lifted the unconscious man.
She exited the trailer, and the red dragon followed.
