Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

I think there is a side of the city that is mostly human population and a side that is mostly dragons. The human side, I assume, is closer to the shipping port that is built on the river, which is where King's breakout occurred.
There are Nightwing soldiers that patrol the city from what I've learned from MJ, so I assume it's mostly run by humans
Yep. I assume the dragons live more on the left half, further from the big city and humans near the river. But like Josh said (I think) there are dragon aristocrats and stuff who support and help the humans and vise-versa for more poor-type humans.

King nodded, quickly angling his wings down and back toward where they came from, near the center of the nest. He made sure they were following him, glancing back at Phoenix with worry. What was going on with these two?
Corvus dove after Phoenix and King, looking over his shoulder and scanning the dark trees. The birds sang and the sun shone. A scene unfitting for everything Corvus was feeling.
Alicanto slipped off into a forced sleep, and Vel dragged him back towards the shade, glad to feel his fever had considerably reduced.
She glanced towards the newcomers.
"Where do you lot plan to go from here?" She asked in hesitant tone.

Arya narrowed her eyes suspiciously at Vel.

“I think a better question is “what are one of the most esteemed hunters in the scorpion den, a RainWing, and a SkyWing doing out here in the middle of the desert seemingly dying?”” The human said in Dragon. She didn’t trust these dragons, especially with Alicanto being there.

Vel cocked her head with a shrug. "Fair point. I'm with the rebellion. These foos abducted me, but then we were jumped by a gang of overly aggressive NightWings." She shrugged again. "I've been trying to get us to Possibility. Got... family there, who might be able to help."
She narrowed her eyes, knowing full well how vague her words must seem.
"Alicanto was wounded across his neck by the NightWing soldiers. The wound is infected, and quite literally killing him as we speak."
She glanced back at the CloudWing's slumped form.
"I thought we'd make better time. Now I think it's too late."

Arya blinked. “Abducted?”

She shook her head, bumping Cochineal with her elbow. “Got any more nerdy desert plant wisdom for us?”

Cochineal stood suddenly, depriving Arya of her back rest and spilling her unceremoniously on the sand. The HiveWing hybrid stepped over to where Alicanto lay prone, poking his neck gingerly with one claw. He wrinkled his snout at the offensive smell of the wound.

Arya walked over as well. “Looks nasty,” she commented.

Cochineal nodded. “I’m not sure… “plant nerd wisdom” won’t help here. He needs antibiotics, strong ones, or he probably won’t make it.”

He traced a claw across angry dark red veins spidering out from the wound. “See this? This means the infection is spreading to his bloodstream. That’s why he’s so bad off. His blood is carrying the bacteria to other parts of his body, effectively shutting everything down.”

Cochineal sat back, wings buzzing thoughtfully.

Vel smirked, already feeling determined energy begin to douse her veins, feeding off of the cactus fruit. She wished Alicanto would have eaten more, and she wished he wasn't so dadgum stubborn.
"See any other condemning reasons for inevitable death, or is that it?" She arched her brow, cocking her head in thoughtful expression, her gaze on the CloudWing. "When are you two heading out? I'll have us wait for the sun to set. Couldn't make it in this heat. Doubt she could make it exposed this heat," Vel motioned towards the human with a curious glance.

Alicanto felt a prick in his neck, the spurt of pain prodding his brain once again closer to reality. He inhaled sharply and instinctively bared his teeth, though he didn't open his eyes, and the breathy start of a snarl escaped between his teeth, sounding more like a throaty hiss.

Cochineal would have preferred to leave right away, thank you, but the RainWing had a great point. He surveyed Arya for a moment. She was covered in dirt and sweat, her ponytail barely hanging in there, dark greasy strands of hair sticking to her face. The human’s normally tan skin was tinted red with sunburn. Yeah, it was probably best to wait.

He sighed, flicking his tail. “I suppose we’ll wait till dark,” he said. Arya didn’t comment, heading back to the stream to splash her face with the cool water.

Vel nodded. She gathered Alicanto into her arms, then moved to the small pool of water shaded by a variety of bushes and trees. She lapped up a bit of water herself before laying the CloudWing in the stream, resting his head on the rocky sand strewn bank.
With careful talons she cupped water across the dried, matted wound. She glanced back at the human...
Vel scraped away more sand and scab, leaving open raw patches to soak in cool water. If only she could just wrap it.
